Pelican Acres Alpacas. We retired in 1992 and moved to an acreage in Cortez. Needing help in keeping the grass and weeds down, we purchased our first two alpacas in 1997. Now, ten years later we have 27 animals and full time jobs. In addition to sale and services of animals in a wide range of colors and bloodlines, Arlene's talent's allow us to provide many other products. Hand made knit goods, crochet items, and weaving and felted products. Also. we offer a full line of fiber from raw to any stages of end produects available at our ranch and many of the craft shows around the area. Stop in and see us as ranch visits are encouraged.
